TRENDING NEWS MONDAY

Spend the weekend binge watching the second season of Orange is the New Black and miss the weekend buzz stories? Fear not, here’s the weekend’s top headlines we’re featuring on this Trending News Monday.

Tracy Morgan Remains in Critical Condition

Comedian Tracy Morgan, known former SNL cast member and 30 Rock star, remains in critical condition after he was caught in a four-car pile up over the weekend on the New Jersey Turnpike. While he’s reportedly being more responsive, the comedian is suffering from several injuries including a broken nose, leg, femur and ribs. At the time of the crash, Morgan was traveling from a show with two limo drivers and three fellow comedians, including James McNair (also known as Jimmy Mack) who died during the collision.

Nail-biting Finals

The Stanley Cup Finals and the NBA Finals are both underway–with two games down in each series.

The Los Angeles Kings lead the New York Rangers 2-0 in the series after coming back in the third period and scoring in double overtime in game two. The Kings 5-4 win Saturday night gives them the upper-hand in the series, but the team has been to game seven every series this post season. The Finals move to Madison Square Gardens in New York City at 8:00 P.M. EST tonight for game three.

Last night, the Miami Heat tied up their series (1-1) with the San Antonio Spurs. Despite a weak performance in game one where he suffered from cramps, LeBron James led with Heat back into the game in the fourth quarter, scoring 35 points in the game (including the game winner). The final score was 98-96. With the Heat looking to three-peat and the Spurs looking to avenge last year’s NBA Finals, this series is shaping up to be one of the most memorable in recent history (of course, nothing comparable to the ’91, ’92, ’93, ’96, ’97 or ’98 Bulls NBA championships). The Heat will host the Spurs for game three tomorrow at 9:00 P.M. EST.
